Joel Hughes
Joel has been an operating executive in communications technology and mobile services businesses for over 20 years. He has experience as a boot-strap founder and a public CEO, has led teams in high-growth environments as well as restructuring scenarios, and has been involved in more than a dozen corporate financing and merger transactions. Most recently Joel was CEO of LiveWire Mobile (OTC:LVWR.PK), a mobile music service provider. Previously, Joel was CEO of Openera (acquired by NMS Communications), founder and CEO of SnowShore Networks (acquired by Brooktrout), founder and CEO of ViaDSP (acquired by NMS Communications) and a founder of DSP Software Engineering (acquired by Tellabs). Joel started his career as a communications firmware engineer, having received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
